Hello all :) Tonight I just decided to sit down and start writing and see what happens, I sometimes feel like I have so much to say and other times I can't even remember one thing I was going to write about. That's when I have to look at the always-growing list in my phone, which is in the other room and I'm just too lazy to go over there and get it!
So what's been going on in our household? All kinds of stuff. We are getting ready for Halloween, so I took the boys trick or treating at Kingston Residence of Sylvania last week, it was seriously so cute because all the cute little old people open their door or sit in the hallway to pass out candy! There were a lot of families and kids that showed up. They had snacks and apple juice and a TON of candy.
Before I post pictures from that let me tell you that I let Colton pick out their Halloween costumes. He was very adamant that he wanted to be Thomas the Train. I wanted to get creative and make him a really cool costume but before I knew it, it was time for trick or treating, so Target won and I bought his costume there. He kept saying he wanted Braxy to be a pumpkin but once we got to Target and got to the costume section he insisted that Braxton be a cow. Well alrighty then, a cow it is.
I keep thinking someday Brax is going to look back and be like "really Colton, you made me be a COW?!"But hey, that's what siblings are for ;) I'm the youngest of four and that's just kind of how it goes. I'm pretty sure I lived through it all... being dropped down the laundry shoot, being shut inside a hamper and then tossed onto the trampoline (those are all stories for another blog post) but here I am today... alive and well. Maybe those are the reasons for my bad back? I never thought of that until now....hmmm.
Here a few shots of the kids at Kingston
I have a few more of Colton but they didn't turn out as well so I will get more on actual Halloween.
Naturally all Colton wanted was his M&Ms and Kit Kat's-- those are by far his favorites. I let him have a few but everyday he drags a bar stool across the kitchen and stand up on it to reach his bucket and says "candy!!" I think he gets that from me ;) Seeing as how I've ate some every day as well, and Jeff hasn't even gone near the bucket. *sigh* I could never be on a diet.
Well onto other parenting info... do you (or did you) have trouble getting your little one to go #2 on the potty?! Seriously Colton just won't do it. Ughh frustrating. He is good at holding his pee and going on the potty... but anything other than pee, not so much. I know, I know... let him go naked- I tried, I was then cleaning up poo off his carpet. I tried underwear, it was the same as a diaper for him. So I mean, I guess I will just wait it out? I've even tried bribing him with Lit Kat's and playland (even tried both of those at one time!) and nothing.
He's 2 1/2. I guess he will evenutally get it.
Hope you're all having a great weekend! I will try to post more this week! Going through my photos is reminding me of all the stuff I want to post!
